Prefs - Flood

IRC limits the number of messages that can be sent from your client within a specified amount of time.

If you send too many messages too fast, the IRC server will
 disconnect you from the network for ‘flooding’.

PIRCH has an internal mechanism to control flooding.

Here you set your pirch98's ability to control CTCP flooding ... ( how much info it can take in a certain time period before it overloads and closes your connection ). Your pirch98 help file will have more on specific settings.


Recommendations

Check Enable Flood Control
Flood Delay = 2500 Flood = 4
Check Enable CTCP Flood Control
Accept CTCP from an address no faster than = 5000
