PIRCH popups allow you to customize the right-click popup menus.
PIRCH includes commands in popup menus that can be accessed by clicking the right mouse button while the mouse pointer is located over either the names list in a room window, or the main text pane in a room window/private message or server window
Your pop-ups folder is basically a
convenience tool. |

1/. Server Window. 2/. Channel ( Names List). 3/. Channel ( Main Pane). 4/. Private Msg/DCC. 5/. Main Menu. |
Enter into this directory the commands you wish to be available to you in the server window. Example: JOIN:/join $?="Room Name" Explaination: The above command will present you with a window in which you input a room name you wish to join. |
Place in here commands you wish to use when communicating with other users in a chat room. Example: Private Notice:/notice $snick $?="Enter Private Notice" Explaination: Gives you a window which you can use to type a private message to another chatter. |
Here is where you place the commands you wish to use in a chat session which is not directed at an individual person. Example: Hi All:/me <CTRL+B><CTRL+K+12> says hello to # at $time on $day Explaination: Says hello to the entire room in bold blue font, stating the room name, the time and the day. |
Used for messaged intended for "Private Message" or "DCC Chat" window. |
Can be used in any manner already mentioned... adds new pop-up lists at the top of your program window following on after the "IRC", "Server", "Room", "Tools", "Options", and "Help" directories.
How to "steal" an alias from the chat screen :-) 1.Place your mouse pointer at beginning of the popup you want to copy off of the screen... left click and drag hilighting the entire
popup (when you
release hilight will disappear) * I normally copy the line above and below and erase it after I paste it to aliases. Note : the format is popupname:popup This is an example of how to subdivide your popups when your list grows too long
: Note : notice that Hugs, Greets, and Actions are main categories and the period " . " puts the others as sub-categories. |
