Aliases

Aliases are simply custom commands or macros that you can define for PIRCH.

Aliases take one of two forms ... they can either be in text form, put there to avoid repeatedly having to type the same thing or they can be artistic in nature, colours, sounds and the like.

A: Right mouse button and then "Add Alias". Choose a name for your alias.
B: The operating commands for you alias go here.

To activate your alias type /alias-name ( forward slash followed by the name of your alias ) in your chat screen.

Font Commands:

CTRL + B : Changes the text to bold.

CTRL + I : Changes the font to Italic.

CTRL + U : Underlines text.

Other useful tools are available in your pirch98 HELP file.

How to "steal" an alias from the chat screen :-)

1.Place your mouse pointer at beginning of the popup you want to copy off of the screen... left click and drag hilighting the entire popup(when you release hilight will disappear) * I normally copy the line above and below and erase it after I paste it to aliases.
2.Click Alias at the top of your TCPirch screen.
3.Click add in the alias box.
4.Type in a name and click ok.
5.Right click your mouse and select paste.
6.Edit out all unwanted text, but be careful not to erase any of the bold black lines.(those are the color codes)
7.If a name is used in the alias you need to replace that with $snick, making sure there is a space on each side of the $snick.
8.Click Save
9.To play your new alias : highlight the nick you want to play it to, and type /aliasname nickname
