Use this page as a guide to the various commands you can use.

Command	Description
/join #roomname	to enter a room
/part	to leave a room
/quit	to leave IRC
/whois nickname	find out where someone is on IRC
/msg nickname	to send a message to someone that only they can see
/list	to see the list of room names
/away message	to set yourself as being away from your computer. Anyone who /msg you will receive your away message
/ignore nickname	if someone is bothering you, you can 'ignore' them. *Note - you will not be able to see anything they say.
/ignore -d nickname	to take them off your ignore list
/invite nickname roomname	to invite someone to your room
/notice nickname message	this will send the person a notice. It will show up in their window, but will not open a new window
/who #roomname	to see who is in a room
* Ops Commands *	You must have Ops for these to work
/kick #roomname nickname	to kick someone out of your room
/mode #roomname +/-b nickname	to ban somone from entering your room
/mode #roomname +/-o nickname	to give someone else ops in your room
/mode #roomname +/-i	to set your room as invite only - no one can enter unless you invite them
/mode #roomname +/-L number	to limit the number of ppl who can enter your room. i.e. if you want only you and one other person to be in the room, set the limit to 2
/mode #roomname +t topicname	to set the topic line for your room
